Our backpacking adventure starts on Khao San Road in Bangkok, Thailand. This is the backpacking hub of Asia, so it’s a very fitting place to start our trip. 412 metres of neon lights, bars, hawkers and the most amazing street food surround us. The aromas of kaffir lime leaf, lemongrass and Thai red chilli fill the air…

Khao San Gin is our expression of this incredible location. To harness the fresh, vibrant flavours of Thai cuisine, we have cold-distilled Kaffir Lime Leaf, Lemongrass and Thai Red Chilli separately in a vacuum still and blended with a traditional distillate of 10 carefully selected botanicals. We have bottled it at 41.2% in homage to this famous road which measures 412 metres long.

SIGNATURE BOTANICALS: Thai Red Chilli, Lemongrass, Kaffir Lime Leaf

TASTING NOTES: Savoury, earthy notes of red pepper, undertones of lemony citrus and aromatic hints of kaffir lime leaf. The chilli flavour packs a punch without the heat.

PERFECT SERVE: Premium Indian tonic garnished with a slice of lime and slice of fresh chilli

KHAOLOMA

INGREDIENTS

50ml Tarsier Khao San Gin

10ml Agave Syrup

10ml Lime Juice

60ml Pink Grapefruit Juice

Soda Water

 

GLASS: Wine Glass

GARNISH: Lime, Salt, Chilli Powder

METHOD

1. Rim one side of a wine glass with lime and roll on a plate of salt and chilli powder.

2. Add all ingredients (except soda) into a shaker with ice.

3. Shake and strain into the glass filled with ice.

4. Top up with soda water and garnish with a wedge of lime.

TOM YUM SNAPPER

INGREDIENTS

50ml Tarsier Khao San Gin

15ml Lemon Juice

10ml Soy Sauce

1 tsp Tom Yum Paste

120ml Tomato Juice

 

GLASS: Collins Glass

GARNISH: Celery, Lemon, Chilli

METHOD

1. Fill tall Collins glass with ice.

2. Add all ingredients to the glass and stir until well chilled

3. Garnish with a celery stick, slice of lemon and a sliver of fresh chilli.

WHITE NEGRONI

INGREDIENTS

30ml Tarsier Khao San Gin

30ml Suze

30ml Dry Vermouth

 

GLASS: Rocks Glass

GARNISH: Grapefruit Peel

METHOD

1. Add all ingredients into a rocks glass filled with ice.

2. Stir until well chilled and balanced.

3. Express grapefruit peel oil into the drink and rub peel on rim of the glass.

4. Twist grapefruit peel and garnish.

KRABI-SIDE

INGREDIENTS

50ml Tarsier Khao San Gin

10ml Simple Syrup (2:1)

20ml Fresh Lime Juice

3-4 Mint Leaves

1 Kaffir Lime Leaf

 

GLASS: Coupe Glass

GARNISH: Sprig of Mint

METHOD

1. Add all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake hard to bruise the mint and kaffir lime leaves.

2. Double strain into chilled coupe.


3. Garnish with a sprig of mint.
